It’s no secret that the Colorado River has been rapidly shrinking for the past few decades. Extreme drought in the Western United States, plus overuse from the states that depend on it has pushed the river to the brink of a major climate crisis. This past winter, though saw a much-needed (albeit brief) reversal of fortunes as an above-average snowpack will help dependent waterways such as Dolores River and Lake Mead grow.
