Top Zipline Experiences in Las Vegas

If you’re looking to expand your horizons and jump-start your adrenaline on your next visit to Las Vegas, nothing can get the blood pumping quite like a zipline adventure. We’ve done the homework and gathered together a list of the top zipline experiences in Las Vegas.

Most visitors probably wouldn’t even consider looking for an incredible zipline experience in Sin City, but they fail to understand that we’re the Entertainment Capital of the World for a reason… we have it all!

Remember this list is in no ranking order because they each offer different experiences and it depends on what you’re looking for.

If you want to rank them we recommend you trying all of them and ranking the experiences yourself.

SlotZilla (Fremont Street / Downtown)

The famous SlotZilla is an 11-story slot-machine inspired zipline that sends riders flying overhead along the world famous Fremont Street Experience.

Since its opening in 2014 more than 2-million riders have zipped along the glittering corridor that’s been home to some of the most unique “characters” downtown Las Vegas has to offer.

Although we talk about it in singularity, SlotZilla offers two different experiences: the seated 77-feet high traditional zipline and the 114-feet high super hero or “zoom” line.

The seated zipline takes you about halfway down Fremont Street (850ft), while the “hero” line flies you to the very end of Fremont street (1,700ft) and allows you to experience the thrill while laying on you stomach.

More from the SlotZilla website:

The multi-million-dollar SlotZilla is the world’s largest slot machine and features Las Vegas icons such as over-sized dice, a martini glass, pink flamingo, coins, video reels, a giant arm and two showgirls.

BTW: those two “showgirls” are over 35-feet high and are inspired and modeled after two very showgirls who use to accompany former Las Vegas mayor Oscar Goodman to many public appearances. Their names are Jennifer and Porsha.

SlotZilla starts at $39 for the standard seated ride and $59 for the higher “hero” flight experience. Ticket experiences, height and weight restrictions and other info can be found on the SlotZilla website link above.

Pro tip: SlotZilla is extremely popular and often sells out well in advance for the day. Go online and book your tickets to grab a designated time so you don’t miss out.

Rio Zipline / Voodoo Zipline (Rio Hotel & Casino)

At over 500-feet high, the Voodoo Zipline (which is also referred to as the Rio Zipline because, well, it’s at the Rio Hotel & Casino) offers an incredible view and a truly unique way to get your adrenaline pumping.

While the other ziplines mentioned here (minus the Skyjump) are a fun but not vertigo-inducing distance from the ground, the Voodoo Zipline can cause a bit of nerves for even the most seasoned thrill seekers.

For this zipline you’ll be seated in a chair, by yourself or with another rider, with no safety bar in front of you and barely anything else to grab on to as you zip at over 30 mph between the two towers that make up the Rio Hotel & Casino.

More from the Voodoo Zipline website:

We are so THRILLED to bring this amazing experience to Las Vegas. You get to ride the tallest, fastest zip-line in all of the city. Bring your friends, family, and adrenaline junkies to this one-of-a-kind attraction!

Prices start at $34 and are available online or at the Rio box office.

Pro tip: You can go at night for a truly unique view of the city and to test your mettle as you glide out into the darkness.

Fly LINQ (The LINQ)

Opening in Nov. 2018, Fly LINQ is the newest addition to the Las Vegas zipline offerings and has the boast of being the only zipline located on The Strip (although the Skyjump at The Strat could technically claim that as well).

Fly LINQ has ten side-by-side ziplines which allows bigger parties to experience this bit of fun together as they step off a 12-story tower (roughly 120-feet high) and zip along at nearly 35 mph, racing their way 1,121-feet to the end of the line at the area’s other big attraction The High Roller observation wheel.

More from the Fly LINQ website:

Get ready for an adrenaline rush. Take the plunge on the Strip’s only zipline, Fly LINQ. Riders launch from a 12-story tower and soar 1,121 feet from Las Vegas Boulevard, down The LINQ Promenade and finish at the High Roller at speeds up to 35 mph.

Plus, it’s your choice whether you’d like to experience the ride in the traditional seated position or “hero” style and experience it like Superman. Either way, tickets to Fly LINQ start at $35 with locals getting $10 off ticket prices.

Pro tip: just like SlotZilla, the LINQ can get overrun during a busy tourist weekend so book your tickets online in advance so you don’t get left out. If you’re a local looking to ride but want that sweet, sweet discount, contact the LINQ box office and let them take it from there… the discount doesn’t show up online.

Skyjump (The Strat)

The Skyjump deserves its own special place on this list because while it isn’t technically a zipline, it is a guided wire open air jump from over 800-feet in the air from the 108th floor of The Strat in Las Vegas. Those guided wires and the controlled descent make it a sort of vertical zipline. Only instead of you zipping towards a platform, you’re headed straight for the ground.

Gulp.

The Skyjump opened in April 2010 and has seen over 200,000 brave souls step off its ledge and land safely below (if that helps with your nerves; trust me it doesn’t help mine). The Skyjump also has the distinction of being the only controlled descent attraction in North America and the tallest in the world.

From The Strat website:

It’s the only sky jump in North America and the highest in the world. SkyJump is a controlled descent, similar to a vertical zip line. The launching pad is located on the 108th floor of The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod in Las Vegas, 855 feet above the Las Vegas Strip. Jumpers are harnessed in and attached to a cable that is connected to a descender machine. Guide wires keep the SkyJumper on course and on target. Just before reaching the rapidly approaching ground, the SkyJumper is slowed down for a controlled and safe landing.

Prices start at $129.99 for the umm… privilege?… of stepping off a perfectly good Las Vegas casino. Locals can get a discounted price of $99.99 with photo ID. Check the height and weight restrictions on the website and good luck!

Pro tip: If you have squeamish friends who are nervous about the plunge feel free to watch the jumpers from the valet area. It’ll either save you some money or get them pumped up. Either way you win.

Flightlinez Bootleg Canyon (2021 – Temporarily Closed)

If you fancy an experience away from the 24-hour booze and gambling offerings of the Las Vegas Strip, or you simply want a longer zipline “adventure” then Flightlinez is what you’re looking for.

Flightlinez Bootleg Canyon sits a few miles southeast of Las Vegas in a little town called Boulder City, which is also home to the modern marvel known as the Hoover Dam. This is also the longest zipline around Las Vegas in terms of time to complete at a couple of hours total.

How was the Hoover Dam created, and why?

This “eco-adventure” as the company describes it, offers a chance for thrill seekers to enjoy 1.5-miles of zipline awesomeness by zipping down four separate lines. The company offers different experiences between their morning tours, mid-day tours and evening tours which allows you to zipline over the canyon by the light of the moon.

Better explained on the Flightlinez website:

You ride a series of four separate ziplines that bring you back down the mountain over the canyons. Our first run is 1,852-ft. long. It has a 400-ft. drop at a 17% grade and can get you up to speeds of 60 mph. Then the ziplines get progressively longer until our 3rd run, which is 8 feet short of half a mile. Our last line is the shortest at a quarter of a mile.

Prices begin at $159 and can be purchased online. As always, more FAQ’s are answered on their site as well as restrictions and tour package details.

Pro tip: COVID sucks and unfortunately as of Sept. 2021 Flightlinez is temporarily closed to the public. Hopefully they get up and running soon.
